Robotic assembly cells

Working with manufacturing companies on a daily basis, we know that manual assembly lines are a common choice, despite certain production challenges and risks. One of them is the dependence of production efficiency on processes carried out manually – by the operator.

Employees perform a number of repetitive activities manually, and the need to manually manipulate components makes the production process time-consuming and prone to human errors. Additionally, manual assembly stations require each operator’s training and a long time before the expected level of performance is achieved. A critical problem is employee turnover, especially due to monotonous activities.

In response to these challenges, at TKM Projekt we design and build robotic assembly cells adapted to handle a specific product or group of products. Thanks to the solutions provided, our clients can effectively optimize labor costs, improve production efficiency, thereby increasing their competitiveness on the market

Application

Robotic assembly cells are used in various industries. They will prove useful wherever production processes require high precision and repeatability, automating and accelerating the assembly of components into the final product.

The use of robotic assembly cells allows for the automation of many activities:

common positioning of components

precise manipulation

applying layers or glue paths

installation of elements with increased temperature

sterile production service

product quality control with multi-vector observation direction

Modularity

Robotic assembly cells are designed in a modular concept using the “plug in” principle, which guarantees quick installation at the customer’s site, and all that is required for commissioning is the delivery of utilities. The compact design of the device allows for mobility and easy reorganization of the production hall.

Higher efficiency

The robot is the key executive element, the rest of the equipment is reduced to a minimum, and process activities are carried out by dedicated mechanisms. This allows you to make the most of the device’s capabilities and increase the production rate.

Cost optimization

While several people work on traditional assembly lines, most often only one operator is enough to operate a robotic assembly cell, whose work usually comes down to logistic activities – supplying the device with components.

Quality control

Built-in sensors, vision and measurement systems identify assembly errors and faulty components, preventing costly downtime. High production precision and repeatitiveness, which cannot be achieved by humans, results in higher quality of the final product.

Safety

Robotic assembly cells meet the highest safety standards and are compliant with applicable standards. A separate robot workstation ensures a high level of employee safety and creates ergonomic working conditions.
