Vision data reading

 

Long production cycles caused by time-consuming processing of information generated by barcode scanning on production lines are a real problem for many companies. This entails the need for greater automation and the gradual implementation of modern traceability solutions such as visual data reading.

Vision technologies are used to capture and read information contained in 1D and 2D codes, tying it to serialization data. Advanced reading technologies enable ongoing tracking of parts or shipments, efficient management of warehouse resources and verification of product authenticity.

Application

Vision data reading consists of technologically advanced readers used for optical recognition and verification of characters. Barcodes are used to track almost every item in industry and commerce. For this reason, vision technologies are used on a large scale, e.g. in the automotive industry, where they allow for accurate tracking of individual parts in the production process, which is particularly important in the event of a product being withdrawn from the market or a defect detected. Vision data reading is also used, among others, in the food industry, providing producers with the ability to efficiently identify and locate products in the supply chain.
